IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Our motorhome park is open but please be advised that we are currently in our redevelopment phase. Our new sites (Numbers 1-42 on the booking system), will open on 22 December 2023 however they will be on a mixture of concrete and gravel surface due to construction delays. This may lead to increased dust in certain weather conditions, please contact us if this is of concern.
Due to the temporary nature of this area, some sites are shorter in length than others. If you have a large van and are unable to fit on the booked site when you arrive, please visit the office or contact the caretaker if arriving out of office hours.
The Hobart Showground Motorhome and Caravan Park is Tasmania's largest and most versatile campground. We are able to cater for all sized vehicles and have a variety of powered and unpowered sites available. We also have grey water and portable water options that can be organised. The Showground Motorhome and Caravan Park also facilitates a dump point for blackwater if you are a paying guest. Our online booking system can be accessed via the button above or alternatively, you can call us and our staff will be happy to organise your booking.
The Hobart Showground is currently a construction site to allow for the redevelopment and rejuvenation of the site. The Motorhome Park will continue to run throughout this time in a reduced capacity. Please note that during the day there will be demolition and/or construction happening onsite which may lead to increased noise and dust in certain conditions. Due to the ever changing nature of the project, RAST reserve the right to move bookings onto alternative sites if required and will endeavour to move you onto a site with the same facilities as your booking. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The Hobart Showground Motorhome Park has a 10 day maximum stay and we are no longer able to accept long-term or semi-permanent bookings. In certain circumstances exceptions may be granted by the CEO. However permanent and semi-permanent residents will no longer be permitted. Exceptions can only apply to genuine tourists wishing to stay slightly longer to accommodate their travel plans, those undertaking medical treatment in Hobart during their stay and will be applied solely at the discretion of the CEO. Unfortunately homeless people can not be accommodated.

RAST reserves the right to move you into another site if deemed necessary.

Please note there is a $4.95 booking fee which is applied to each online booking by our booking system.

Cancellations will incur a $20 admin fee.

Check in and check out is: 10am.

Please note that some sites which are listed as having Water may only have an accessible water station to help you fill up. This may not mean that you have constant access to water. We advise that you bring your own splitter.

We also advise that you bring your own 25m extension cord.

GPS Location: 2 Howard Road, Glenorchy, Tasmania 7010
Entry from the Brooker Highway, turn into Howard Road at the Howard Road lights (right next to Bunnings). Turn right into the Showground Main Drive and proceed to Administration Building (office hours 9am-5pm – Monday to Friday). If the Administration Building is closed, use our online booking system.
