The winner of the Royal Hobart Show Rural Ambassador will represent the Royal Hobart Show at the State Final to be held at the Royal Hobart Show in October 2018. It is a fantastic opportunity for you to meet other like-minded young people and I strongly encourage young people to nominate for this award.
Entries are due back to competition coordinator Ian Blades C/- of the Royal Hobart Show Office, by Friday 3rd October 2018 by posting to Royal Hobart Show P.O. Box 94 Glenorchy TAS 7010.
If there are any questions in relation to the Royal Hobart Show Rural Ambassador Competition please contact Rural Ambassador Competition Coordinator Ian Blades by email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Royal Hobart Office on 6272 6812.
The winning entrant will be a Show ambassador during the 2018 Royal Hobart Show, and will then go on to the state finals and potentially the national finals of the Rural Ambassador program.
The Award is about identifying and supporting young people who want to work in the rural sector. Judges are looking for young entrants with a good general and rural knowledge, and a Show and community involvement. The role as Ambassador is a career step-up for young people who are considering a working life in the sector, and the Award is also an important way of attracting young, new blood into the industry.
