Rural Ambassador Competition

Entries have opened for the 2017 Royal Hobart Show Rural Ambassador award.

The winning entrant will be a Show ambassador during the Show, and will then go on to the state finals and potentially the national finals of the Rural Ambassador program.

To be eligible, entrants should be 30 or under, and should be actively involved, or demonstrate a willingness to be actively involved, in the Royal Hobart Show or their local show.

The Award is about identifying and supporting young people who want to work in the rural sector. Judges are looking for young entrants with a good general and rural knowledge, and a Show and community involvement. The role as Ambassador is a career step-up for young people who are considering a working life in the sector, and the Award is also an important way of attracting young, new blood into the industry.
