Poultry displays have taken place at the BBX Royal Hobart Show for more than 150 years. This year they will be in a new home on the other side of the ground. The Poultry Pavilion features more than 650 birds. Judging will commence on the Wednesday for poultry, pigeons, canaries and budgerigars. Be sure to check out the new pavilion.
Breeding & exhibiting show poultry is a hobby followed by people all over the world from all walks of life and ages. Breeders look for 3 things in showing poultry – Condition (overall fitness and sound plumage); Colour; and the shape of the bird (does it conform to the type of bird).
